Update: I sat my purse out on the table with it opened. The smell dissipated enough so that I'll keep the purse. As I said earlier I really like this purse. It's well made and worth every penny. I'm giving it 4 stars only because of the initial smell. I love this purse. It is indeed genuine leather. However, it smells horrible!!!!!!! I am letting it sit out and if the smell doesn't dissipate I will return it. The smell is so bad it makes the purse unusable. I really like this purse so I hope the smell improves.
