It doesn't tame the lines much, which is likely why the name was changed...I have pink skin...this really doesn't help with that, but does provide a smooth base on which to begin your makeup application...I like it, even at the relatively expensive price as I use loose powder foundation and like the smooth appearance it lends to my makeup. I see zero "brightening" effect...
