The backlight stopped working within 6 months. I replaced the battery, but it didn't help. I started the process of a warranty repair with Timex, but then found out they have a $8 fee for in-warranty repair. With the cost of the watch being what it is, I'll just deal with the broken backlight. Next time I'll spend less money on cheap disposable non-brand name watches
