Nitrile rubber can tolerate short term dry running of the sealing lip. The operating temperature range without failure of nitrile rubber is 40 to +100 C. However, if you have a more generous build under your size 34 waist you WILL like these, and the waist has some stretch. I removed one star for calling these fitted through hips and thighs. They're not.
