The inside of the ring is fully hallmarked for 18ct gold and bears an inscription for 1849. UK size L US size 5 1 2 The old cut diamond is steely gray and is set in a silver collet setting on a shield shaped panel. Condition: Good some wear to the enamel on the band. Evidence of resizing. Lead solder visible to reverse of shield. The shield may be a later addition as the gold
