Beethoven's 5th Symphony V for Victory Music Note Eagle PinVintage 1940s WWII V for victory pin with music notes from Beethoven's Symphony No. 5. During the war, it was referred to as the "Victory Symphony" since V is the Roman numeral for 5. The opening phrase of "dit dit dit dah" was also used as the letter V in Morse code. The BBC would often preface broadcasts to SOE with those four notes. The pin is in decent condition. A lot of the gold paint has worn off. Nice statement piece.

The jewelry box stands out very nicely on my dark wood nightstand. There is so much room for all my jewelry. In previous boxes everything was jumbled together and I could never find what I was looking for. Now all my necklaces, watches, rings, and earrings are perfectly organized. As a result I am wearing more of my pieces because they are so easy to find. I highly recommend this jewelry box.
