The black veil may have some breaks. There is a red stamp inside, but it is hard to read. This is a tilt hat meaning it is meant to be worn at an angle. The elastic strap helps to hold it in place (bobby pins were also used to hold these types of hats in place as well).

I was looking for an affordable, quick replacement for my previous matcha set and found this item. For the price point, this is great quality and is such a cute addition to my kitchen. I also like that this includes all the essentials for making a matcha. The chasen does seem to be on the more fragile side though so I'd just be careful and properly take care of it such as blooming it in hot water before any usage and whisk with a very lighthand.
