Its interior is marked "24" over "T2", which denotes Type 2 materials (synthetic resin with asbestos and other organic fillers) produced by Gebrder Merten of Gummersbach, Germany ("GMG"). The interior is also marked "427UT". This case comes complete with its original leather carrying strap, which appears to be a repurposed strap that would normally be affixed
