Rapido (158023) | NSC Ballast Hopper | Railroad of Lies ROLX #9002 | Patched | HO ScaleProduct Description Ballast! A commodity that is rarely discussed yet plays a pivotal part in the upkeep of any railroads infrastructure. Many railroads simply used older open top hoppers to carry and dump ballast along their right of ways. In the mid 1970s, National Steel Car (NSC) designed and developed a welded open top hopper specifically for ballast service, complete with four bottom chutes to spread the rocks along the rails. Doesn’t feel very sturdy like other floating shelves I’ve bought, and they slant a little. The anchors and screws that it came with all broke so we had to get our own for it to feel more secure on the wall, but still feels wobbly. Overall, it looks good on the wall after the fact, but won’t be adding too much weight on it.

Sturdy

Love the shelves. Nice touch to my bathroom. Easy enough to install. They're not holding anything too heavy so can't speak too much on that but they do have a nice width.

Good for light stuff

Color: Black, Size: 15 inches, Color: Black, Size: 15 inches

Good product. Very light though and if it’s in dry wall won’t hold something really heavy. I don’t think it would hold 20 pounds just light. I put over my washer and dryer and put one right on top that way I can put heavy stuff on that side without it weighing down and being ripped out of the wall. I won’t be putting heavy stuff on the right side I used 4 pieces and the wall is about 60-62 inches long
