German Straw Pillow 1939Original un issued H. U. 1939 German pillow case. This could be stuffed with straw or hay etc and then put inside the normal pillow case for use. All are in good condition with minor storage wear or a little dirt. I have several examples of original straw mattress pads back home so it was nice to find the pillow to go with them. It measures about 23" x 19 3 4". Price is for one.

It is a nice sponge holder but the tray is not wide enough and it falls. Because it was the only one I found with a spout, I am keeping it, and figured a way to stick it so the tray doesn't fall. The other thing is that the tray is not sunken enough in the middle for all the water to be routed there, and the spout doesn't always get rid of all the water inside, so once in a few days, I have to manually press it down and more water comes out. The dishcloth rack is not great for cloths, they get wet. Other than that, it looks very nice, it is aesthetic, big enough for all my kitchen stuff, and makes my kitchen neater, so I like it.
